This place had been an old car garage before it was transformed into a modern classy coffee bar and snack bar, with a beautiful interior design. This place takes its name from Fellini’s tragic hero in “La Strada”, a wandering street performer and reckless lover. A popular and trendy hangout in the heart of Athens, Mama Roux has tables on the pedestrian street of Aiolou, near Agia Irini Square. You will love this old 30’s house with its cozy interior design, but most importantly its brunch! This place is honestly a favorite hang-out, especially for brunch. Definitely go for its “shakshuka”, a dish of eggs in an oriental tomato sauce with spices and feta, accompanied by bread and grilled traditional cheese from Lesbos.
